Privacy policy
This page explains how AiPulse.lk handles personal information on this website and in Android apps we publish on Google Play. It is public. You do not need an account to read it.
Who we are
AiPulse.lk is a software studio in Sri Lanka. We build AI chatbots, business systems, and mobile apps. For this policy, “we” means AiPulse.lk.
This policy covers:
- the website at https://www.aipulse.lk/
- Android apps whose Google Play listing names AiPulse.lk as the developer and links to this page
An app we build for a client and publish under that client’s own Google Play developer account is controlled by the client. That client’s privacy policy applies to that app, not this one.
Contact for privacy questions: hello@aipulse.lk.
Information we collect on this website
If you use the “Start a project” form, we collect the details you type:
- your name
- company name
- email address
- phone number
We send that message to our mailbox at hello@aipulse.lk so we can reply about the work. You do not create an account on this website, and the form is optional.
To slow repeated submissions, we keep a short record of the request: a hash of your IP address and the time. That record sits in a temporary file and is only used to count recent attempts. It is not a profile of you, and it expires within about an hour.
The company that hosts the site may keep an ordinary connection log (IP address, date, browser, and the page requested) so the site can stay up and be defended against abuse.
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. That request sends your IP address and browser details to Google. Google’s own privacy policy describes what Google does with that request. We do not set cookies to recognise you on later visits, and we do not run advertising or analytics tags on this website.
Information we collect in Android apps
This section is for Android apps we publish ourselves on Google Play. Each app’s store listing and in-app screens name the features that app actually has. We collect only what that app needs for those features. We update this page, and the app’s Data safety section, before a release starts collecting a new kind of information.
Depending on the app, that can include:
- Personal details you enter. Name, email, phone number, company, and an account identifier, if the app asks you to sign in or contact us.
- Content you submit. Orders, messages, notes, and other text you type so the app can do its job.
- Files you choose to attach. Photos, videos, or documents, only after you pick them or allow access for a feature such as a delivery photo.
- Location. Approximate or precise location, only after Android asks and you allow it, and only for a feature that needs a place, such as a delivery stop. You can turn this off in Android settings.
- Microphone or camera. Only after you allow it, and only while you use a feature that needs it.
- Contacts. Only if you allow access so you can pick a person inside the app. We do not upload your address book for advertising.
- Business records you enter. Bills, payments, and stock the app is built to keep. We do not collect or store full payment-card numbers. If an app takes a card payment, the payment company named in the app handles the card.
- App activity needed to finish the task you started.
- Diagnostics. Crash logs, app version, and basic device details so we can fix failures.
- Device or app identifiers that Android or the app needs to keep you signed in or to block abuse. We do not use the advertising ID, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps.
We do not collect health data, biometric templates, or information about children. We do not buy personal information from data brokers.
For the Google Play Data safety form, the matching answers are:
- Data is not sold.
- Data is not shared with third parties for their own use, for advertising, or with data brokers. A company that only processes data for us, under our instructions, is a service provider. Play Console treats that as collection, not as sharing.
- Data is encrypted in transit.
- People can ask us to delete their account and data. The steps are in Delete your account or data.
- The app is not directed at children and is not part of the Designed for Families programme.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- reply to a project enquiry and prepare a scope or quote
- provide the app feature you used, including an account if the app has one
- keep the website and the app working, and fix faults
- limit spam, fraud, and abuse
- meet a legal duty, or establish or defend a legal claim
We do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not sell it. Under Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, we rely on steps you ask us to take before a contract, a contract with you where an app account is the service, a legal duty, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping the service secure. Where a feature needs your permission on the device, Android asks you first.
Who else sees it
We share personal information only as far as the job requires:
- Our mailbox. Website enquiries are delivered to hello@aipulse.lk through the mail server we operate.
- Hosting. The company that hosts the website, or an app’s servers, stores the data needed to run that service for us.
- Google. Google receives the technical data needed to deliver fonts on this website. For an Android app, Google Play processes the install under Google’s privacy policy. If an app uses another Google service, such as maps, the app names that service before you use it.
- A provider named in the app. For example a payment company or a messaging provider, and only for the feature you used.
- Authorities. If the law requires us to disclose information, or if we need to protect someone’s safety or our rights.
If we ever transfer personal information outside Sri Lanka, we do it to provide the service you asked for, using providers who are expected to protect it.
How long we keep it
- Project enquiries. While we are in contact about the work, and for up to 24 months after the last message, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we must keep them longer for a legal claim.
- Rate-limit records on the website. About one hour.
- App accounts and the personal information in them. While the account is open. After a deletion request, we delete or anonymise that personal information within 30 days, except what we must keep for law, tax, security, or an unresolved dispute.
- Connection logs. For the host’s normal log period, used for security.
Delete your account or data
You can ask us to delete an app account, or the personal information we hold from this website, without signing in here.
- Email hello@aipulse.lk with the subject “Delete my data”.
- Include the app name, if you are writing about an app, and the email address or phone number on the account or the enquiry.
- We confirm the request and delete or anonymise the personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for law, tax, security, or an unresolved dispute. We tell you if we have to keep something, and why.
If the app also has a delete option in its settings, that path makes the same request. Deleting the app from your phone does not by itself delete an account stored on our servers. Use this page or the in-app option for that.
This section is the web address to give Google Play if the app lets people create an account: https://www.aipulse.lk/privacy/#delete.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry mail and app records is limited to people who need it for the work. The form rejects incomplete details and limits how often one address can submit. No method of storage or transmission is perfect. If you believe your information was exposed, email hello@aipulse.lk.
Children
This website and the Android apps we publish are for businesses and adults. They are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email hello@aipulse.lk and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it, as described above
- stop a use that is based on our legitimate interest, or withdraw a permission you gave
Email hello@aipulse.lk. We may need enough detail to find the right record. You can also complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.
On Android, you can refuse or later turn off a device permission in the system settings. The feature that needed it will stop. The rest of the app keeps working where it can.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top. The address stays https://www.aipulse.lk/privacy/. For a material change to an app, we also show a notice in the app or on its store listing before that version collects information in a new way.
